Moor View one of the most pet friendly caravan parks...
Moor View is a very dog friendly campsite and caravan park; we have two dogs of our own.  But we aren’t only dog friendly, we are ‘all sorts of pets’ friendly’, and we’ve had everything from tortoises to parrots, even a snake (in a cage!) staying at our caravan park.

See the South Devon Beach Guide here for full details of beach access relating to dogs.

Pets welcome and Dog Friendly – but please be responsible:
We are very pleased to welcome dogs and pets to the caravan park, campsite and our lodges (please note our lodges are not adult only) we make a small charge for accepting dogs. We do however rely on you to be a responsible dog owner.  We do ask that dogs are kept on a lead on site at all times (other than the dog walk) and if they foul the site then we ask that their owners clean up after them. We offer two dog walks on the park which dogs are welcome to use but only if they have sensible owners that can manage them properly and pick-up their poop!

Dog Walks:
Dogs are definitely welcome in South Devon including on the South West Coastal Footpath, the Beaches, Woods, Rivers, on Dartmoor and on Green Lanes and Footpaths.
This part of South Devon offers plenty of places to walk your dog. In fact, you are spoilt for choice.  Beaches, coastal walks and local forestry walks available.  As dog owners we walk many miles with our dogs and can recommend many walks for you to enjoy.

Walking on Dartmoor
Dartmoor is great for walking dogs. They can have a good run around as long as they don’t chase sheep and you should be particularly careful around lambing time. The scenery is spectacular and shouldn’t be missed.  However, one thing you must check for is sheep ticks. They attach themselves to the dog (or sometimes you – so wear long trousers) when walking through the bracken. Check your dog carefully – they seem to be around between April and September.  We walk our dogs on Dartmoor all the time so we protect them by using a product that kills fleas and ticks.  It is best to speak to your own Vet and get their advice.

Our local Vets are South Moor Vets: www.southmoorvets.co.uk

Day out without the dog? Perhaps to visit a place that doesn't allow dogs? There is a local boarding kennel that can take care of your dog for you: www.blackdownboardingkennels.co.uk
