Large Motorhomes: The roads in South Devon can be narrow in places.  If you are driving a large motorhome then we suggest that you bring a car with you as you will be limited in the number of places that you can visit with a large vehicle.

Access into Moor View, there are two routes.  Route 1 from Kittaford Cross to California Cross has some narrow parts but it is the shorter / quicker route into us. Route 2 the longer route some narrow points, but generally has less traffic.  In the main season / busy times, we would suggest that Route 2 is the better route although it is longer.

Traveling from the North and East

From the M5, join the A38 towards Plymouth.
Leave the A38 signed for Modbury and Ermington onto the A3121 at Wrangaton Cross. (Once you reach the top of the slip road off the A38, Moor View is signposted, simply follow the signs). Proceed one mile to the crossroads (Kittaford Cross).  At Kittaford Cross you have a choice Route 1 or the alternative Route 2 :

Route 1: At Kittaford Cross - go straight across, follow the road for about four miles, go passed the petrol station and pub; follow the road around to the right, Moor View will be found on the left hand side in a quarter of a mile.

Route 2 / Alternative Route: At Kittaford Cross – turn right signed for Modbury.  After about 4 miles you will pass the village of Ermington (you will see the playing fields to your right) take the first turn left signed Modbury onto a short piece of road.  Then turn left again on to the A379 signed for Modbury. Continue to Modbury, and drive through Modbury. Still on the A379, one mile after Modbury at the top of the long hill turn left at Harraton Cross signed for “The Thatches” and “Pennymoor”. Drive passed The Thatches and Pennymoor (which you will reach after about one mile).  The road climbs and at the top of the hill turn left into Beechy Lane (you will see a panoramic view of Dartmoor on your left from here).  Beechy Lane is single track, but is very short, only about 150m long.  At the bottom of Beechy Lane turn right, Moor View is half a mile on the right hand side.

From the South and West

On the A38 from Plymouth
after approx 15 miles leave at the South Brent exit, take the right hand lane and turn right at the bottom of the slip road, passing underneath the A38 and rejoin the west bound carriageway. After a quarter of a mile take the left turning towards
Modbury and Ermington on the A3121, then follow the instructions above.

We look forward to welcoming you to Moor View.
