What will happen if I cancel?
If you cancel your booking up to 7 days before the your arrival date, you will get a full refund of all monies paid to Moor View. (no strings, no conditions, no questions, no secret clause that we did not tell you about, no one in a call center (or anywhere else) saying “we have changed out terms since your booking” or “you should have let us know in writing” etc etc etc, you just get a full refund)
If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival date, then you lose your £25.00. (now that’s the real small print)
What are the qualifying reasons covered under Moor Views Cancellation Plan?
Any reason at all… not in any way limited to.
The death, bodily injury, illness, feeling a bit under the weather, feeling ok but could be better, feeling absolutely fine but deciding to cancel your holiday.
Admission to hospital as an in-patient, out-patient or not really being admitted to hospital at all but going to the doctors, including making an appointment to see a doctor, or going to the dentist, thinking of going to the dentist, having a little bit of tooth ache but thinking it will probably pass.
You or a person in your party or a friend or relative being required for compulsory jury service in a Court of Law or any person in your party who has ever thought about being a member of a jury or you or a member of your party not being required for compulsory jury service in a Court of Law but has watched Gregory pecks arguably best film, “to kill a mocking bird”.
General Terms and conditions, (Not Lodge Bookings.)
Bookings – Deposit and Balance:
We require a £25.00 deposit, Deposits are fully-refundable if cancelled within 7 days of arrival,
No refunds will be given if guests depart prior to the end of the booked holiday.
Arrival Time is 11.00 to 3.00pm or 5.00pm depending on the day.
Specific Pitches or Pitches booked “together”:
Where guests request specific pitches or pitches together, we will do our very best to accommodate such requests, but we cannot guarantee specific pitches, and no refunds will be given if pitch numbers are changed.
Moor View is an adult only park, and Children are not permitted entry to the park at any time – this includes day visitors.
Vacating your pitch:
Please vacate your pitch by 11.00am. If you would like to leave later than 11.00am, please speak to us beforehand, if no-one is booked into your pitch you may stay until 6.00pm.
We insist that guests are conscious of others and pay due consideration to their level of noise especially during hot weather when they have windows open and particularly after 6.00pm. We have found through experience that because our location is so quiet, sound travels. Therefore we do not permit televisions or radios in Trailer Tents or Awnings.

Caravan and Vehicle Alarms:
Don’t even think about it, other people are here for peace and quiet.
The toilets and showers are cleaned daily between 10.30am – 11.30am. The facilities may be closed during these times. However this is not a strict rule and if you need to go you need to go.
We will never lower our prices as the season progresses, if you book early you will get the best price, the price will go up nearer the arrival date, never down.
Moor View Lodge Park, Terms and Conditions
Please note there is no additional charge if paying by debit card, but there is a 2% surcharge if paying by credit card.
Arrivals between 2.00pm and 4.00pm only please, if you arrive earlier than then you are welcome to wait until your lodge is ready, you may of course enter your lodge as soon as it is ready for you. The properties must be vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure.
Bookings made more than 56 days before arrival a deposit of £50.00 of the total rent is payable on booking. For bookings made less than 56 days before arrival the full rent is payable on booking together with the security deposit.
Confirmation will show your booking details and the balance of your total holiday cost including security deposit. The balance and security deposit must be received by us no less than 56 days before your arrival date at the property. If you book less than 56 days before your arrival date, payment of your total holiday cost (including security deposit) is due straightaway. For properties booked less than 21 days before your arrival date your booking must be paid for in full by debit or credit card or cash – cheques not accepted. Your security deposit will be refunded within 7 days of departure once the property has been checked for any damage and breakages.
Payment for Outstanding Balance. Please note, once confirmation of booking has been issued, you are liable for the total rent. The balance of rent must be paid at least 56 days before arrival without further demand. Upon receipt of final balance, acknowledgement of the balance payment will detail arrangements for access to the property. If any payment due in relation to your booking is not paid by the appropriate date, then we are entitled to assume that you wish to cancel your booking. In this case, we will be entitled to keep all deposits paid or due at that date.
Cancellations. If you have to, or wish to cancel your booking; you must telephone Moor View on the number shown on your booking confirmation as soon as possible. The day we receive your telephone notification of cancellation is the date on which your booking is cancelled – we will not accept cancellations left via answer phone message.
Number of days before arrival date that notification of cancellation is received:
More than 84 days – Full refund of all monies paid.
71 – 83 days – Full refund of all monies paid minus £25.00 cancellation administration fee.
57 – 70 days Deposit monies paid.
56 days or less Total cost.
Specific Requirements: Everything is provided for use, however if you have any specific needs, please check with us before making your booking to ensure that your requirements are covered.
Equipment Failure: Every effort is made to ensure all items of equipment described and supplied are in good working order; however no guarantee is given or liability accepted if any Breakdown occurs. Repairs are always affected as soon as possible, although inevitably delays do occur.
Legal requirements for guests to observe when staying at Moor View:
Guests shall not do or suffer to be done in or upon the property any act or thing which may be a nuisance, damage or annoyance to other occupiers of any adjoining premises.
Guests will preserve the furniture in the premises from being destroyed or damaged and will keep the furniture in a clean and sanitary condition. The guest will pay to Moor View Lodges the value of all objects of furniture or house hold effects lost, destroyed or damaged beyond repair, further payment will be required if the total of the security deposit does not cover the total cost of repair or replacement of damaged property.
The personal belongings of the guest are the complete responsibility of the guest and no liability can be accepted for any loss or damage. Any articles left by the guest can be forwarded on receipt of a minimum handling fee of £10.00.
Properties are equipped and offered for the number of persons stated on the website and parties in excess of these numbers cannot be accepted.
The property and all equipment, utensils, etc. must be left clean and tidy at the end of the stay and the guest will deliver up the property in a state consistent with due performance of the obligations of the guest herein contained. Should it be found that an excessive amount of cleaning is required a charge will be made.
Security Deposit. A Security Deposit is payable with, and in addition to, the balance (or full) payment of the holiday. The deposit is held in lieu of the obligations set out in Point 14 above and deductions will be made where applicable. The Security Deposit is normally refunded in full within 7 days of departure, subject to a satisfactory inspection of the Property by the Agency or nominated representative.
Moor View Lodges reserve the right to terminate the stay immediately if any of the above conditions are not observed.
Bookings accepted at the discretion of Moor View Lodges.
Bookings are not deemed to be confirmed or accepted until Moor View Lodges confirms the booking by email or letter, and the required deposit is received and cleared in full.
In the very unlikely event that a Property is withdrawn by an Owner, for reasons out of the control of the Agency (e.g. by fire, sale etc.) the Tenancy shall be cancelled and the rent paid shall be refunded. The Tenant shall not be entitled to any further damages although every effort will be made to offer a suitable alternative for the dates chosen.
